WIth the help of Sherri Nelson, Recreational Therapist at City Hospital, Samantha introduced the basics and competitive edge in curling. Lots of laughs were shared and even a Gift Certificate after an exciting competition. Sportsmanship at its best! Who knew that a simple game of indoor curling could be so exciting!
What do you do with four new spinal cord injuries, two new physiotherapy students, a Recreation Therapist, and two old farts? How about you teach everyone the game of Wheelchair Rugby.
We had a blast today playing rugby, lots of laughs, a few non called penalties, some increased pulses, and a new appreciation of the sport. This was Bridging The Gap as it was meant to be!
